North Georgia's Visual Directory !

This will be the official blog for HelloNorthGeorgia.com. We are the premier online directory for the North Georgia area. This blog is not to be an advertisement for HelloNorthGeorgia.com, but instead will be an avenue to insight, for our hope is to better serve the clients that are represented on the site. My name is James, I am one of three owners of the two LLC companies that make up HelloNorthGeorgia.com. It is my goal and intention to post here, for open comment, my ideas and strategy to make our directory the strongest possible tool for the clients we serve. The present economy is a challenge for all advertisers, yet small businesses must remain alive and present.....advertising has it's place, and it must grow "leaner and meaner", as must all businesses in a time of economic downturn. Our attitude and mission are quite counter-cultural, in that we truly desire to come alongside and help our clients. This, more often than not, does not translate well into any part of our bottom line. We strive instead, towards being useful and effective first and foremost. I don't imagine that the measure of success for this company will ever be derived from it's net worth.

If you are a small business owner, an advertising or marketing company, or one who has any interest or experience in the field of advertising, we welcome your comments. What I seek is to have here, is an open and transparent exchange of suggestions and ideas. As advertising entities, be it printed, online, or other media, we have the trust and confidence of the clients we serve. We have the ability and opportunity to handle our responsibility to our clients differently, and better than has been done in times past. Many of us are small businesses ourselves, and in light of the present economy, we too must search out bold, new ways in which to conduct our affairs.

I invite you to follow this blog. Your comments and suggestions are welcome here. Please keep in mind, that while what you put here is meant to be an exchange and resource among the advertising community, I anticipate that because of the resources that will surely be posted and commented on, that this will become an excellent "Advertising for small business 101" type of page. It is, and will remain open to all who wish to view or comment.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and taking part in this journey. Check back in often. Today is merely the day we begin!
